Helping Ghana.."Just for the Halibut"

There was a halibut dinner in the city of Salem to help the Kumasi orphanage in the village of Asikuma. We thought it would be a good thing to support and we wanted the kids to watch a slide show of Ghana- since Matt and I are planning on visiting our friends who are currently living there.

We were so excited when we arrived. It was at a beautiful park with a nice pond and many activities for the kids. I love Oey in this picture, he had to just join in on the fun with big brother and sister.

Bella loves to have her face painted

Jarom running with a group of kids. They were on a mission to rally up all the other kids so while they ran they yelled,"Come play with us".

Eating dessert. The food was great. They had a ton and many choices for desserts.

Jarom and Bella. The last kids around. Still playing and making huge bubbles.

While Oey rocks out to the band. It was a great night. One complaint, we didn't learn anything about the kids in Ghana.

so no slide show, that's a bummer! i would be curious what you guys learned about the kumasi orphanage. anyway i am so glad you went and the kids had fun and they had a real rock band and all. jarom running with the other kids is so cute. you guys, of course, really REALLY know how to have a good time, to just make it happen. jarom and bella and oey have great role models...just jump in there and enjoy life fully!

There was a slide show, It was just different then I thought it would be. I thought we would all gather round and listen to someone while watching slides, but the slide show went on the whole time behind the bands that were playing, and we never really sat and watched any of the bands, but did enjoy their music.

Hi Matt! You probably don't remember me, I was just a kid the last time we saw each other. My maiden name is Fry and I am Logan Fry's sister. I just stumbled across your name on a friends blog and thought I would let you know about Logan. He is doing great! Married to a girl you probably know from Placerville- Patrice Gastaldi. They have four kids, and they just bought and moved into their first house. I'll give you their email address if you want to get in touch. You have such a cute family!
