My precious

I feel like Gollum when it comes to my new lovely bowls. I think this is the fourth year we have had Bowls for Humanity. However, our first year was last year. And we absolutely LOVED it. And I'm very proud to say that everything we got last year --- WE STILL HAVE. A Christmas miracle. Nothing broke -- yet. We made sure not to miss it this year so we could add to our lovely bowl collection. For those of you who don't know of this amazing event, it goes something like this: Local artists, famous and some maybe just famous at heart, sell their unique and priceless bowls starting at $5 bucks and it goes up from there. But if you get a bowl you also get a free MEAL. And that bowl is way better than any Happy Meal toy. Plus -- to top it off all the money goes to the Food and Care Coalition to help them feed the needy and homeless.

On our way!!!! Got to love the creative sign.

WAY busy, but we made our way through and examined each bowl very carefully. Hard to pick a favorite. But it had to be done.

Here we are happily eating with our new beautiful babies. Looking as photogenic as ever.

Aren't they purty? This was everything at the time. Matt at the last moment decided he could not live without one more. Those little muggie cups on the left were only 2 bucks each. Perfect for for warming up hands with a cup of veggie chili or a hot drink. For those of you who don't know us very well, Matt and I love to use cups for everything. Probably because we like to eat on the go.

My big boys loving their soup and roll.

Even my baby is chowing down

My real precious

the new bowls are gorgeous! i love this event so much and wish we had something like this in good old peevs. maybe i'll have to start it, but i'm the worst potter ever. oey looks incredibly blondly beautiful. i love that the kids went in their jammers, all cozy and cute. and by the way, my favorite way to eat soup is out of a mug. we have thrift store mugs coming out our ears. but little crafty clay ones like that are so irresistible!
