Picking Cherries!

We went to pick cherries with some friends and just loved it. And they tasted soo much better then the store bought cherries.

Matt and Jarom. This place was just loaded. And you could pick them by the handful not just one at a time.

Me and the start of our loot. We ended up with 5 pounds and it only cost us 3 bucks!!!!

that is blowing my mind because the other day i was at raley's and saw cherries, $3.99. i thought, great deal and got a bag of them. turns out it was 3.99 a pound (on SALE) and my bag of cherries was $10. not even that many cherries! i was bummed and put them back, that's too much of a splurge. now going and picking your own and getting THAT MANY for so cheap, well that is just AMAZING and i wonder if there's a place to do that around here. i love bella's little capelet and all the colors.

Heather--It was this cute little place (someone's home) called the Phelps Berry Farm way out in Payson, up against the mountain amidst all this farm- and ranchland. It was beautiful, except for the boatload of mosquitoes. You can see it here, under Utah County.

And Heather, check this out! pick your own in California. There *are* places near you. Tons in El Dorado county. Just scroll down.

That website (PickYourOwn.org) is really cool and oldschool-looking.

Oh, I am so jealous, I love fresh picked cherries. We had a tree in our backyard at our old house. Delicious, but oh what a mess.

Aren't those little places totally rad?!? We have one out here and it's a massive blueberry and strawberry field. You can go and get as much as you want, and the blkueberries pretty much fall into your hand when you touch them, for 50 cents a pound! It's so cheap and so much better than going to the store and not have to look for the non moldy ones!
