My sister's kids' spring break was last week and we thought it would be best to celebrate it with them. We hopped into the car and drove to warm weather winding in and out of old Route 66.

Jumping for joy! This is Matt's first visit to the Lone Star.

The joy just got greater when we met with the Watts!

Stripping on the spot or church clothes work fine too.

Paul grilling some mighty fine veggie kebabs

Glory and Paul spoiled my baby (Matt says I'm not allowed to call him that anymore). He turned 4. They wanted to sing Happy Birthday to him in primary and when they asked him what his name was he replied, "Black Spiderman." xoxo

Young padawans

hard at work creating

The best of cousins wearing my two dollar finds from the thrift store. What could be more freeing and fun than to jump away in a parachute dress.

We could not get enough of their pool

Driving through Dublin, and the oldest Dr Pepper bottling plant in the world

A hike to Gorman Falls at Colorado Bend State Park.

The kids liked the dirt much better

and continued to slide down over and over

This hotel not only had a spa.....

but Texas waffles - that's hard to beat.

The men and babes paddleboating around the lake in Austin

I think they forgot about the babes

Sisters...

and daughters

The big boys got their own boat :)

Best part - when Ruby sat with me

Out to dinner with a model - can you believe her husband says no hot girls have bangs?!! Glow and I spent a good portion of the date looking up hot girls on our phones and showing him how wrong he was. Feels so good to be right.

Glory and Paul had the perfect place in mind to take us, the Spiral Diner. They even told themselves, if Matt and Amy ever come we will have to take them here. It was the yummiest cutesy vegan restaurant.

Walking to the Fort Worth Zoo with everyone else on St. Patty's.

Bella - the bird whisperer

These were Bella's and Orion's favorite - can't say I blame them

Spotting a seat in the shade and taking full advantage of it.

Yep, that's my boy. Such a sight for sore eyes.

Found the greatest river for the kids to play in in Oklahoma.

Touring old stone castles

Turner Falls - this is Oklahoma's biggest waterfall folks, but it has cool caves.

And a nice swimming hole

Handsome

Me taking the plunge. Everyone had done it a few times but me. They were telling me I was going to regret it if I didn't do it and it made me think - they are right!

The kids living it up

and not waking up as we jump in over and over again to take ridiculous pictures at 1:00 am

Our 8 days and 8 nights went way too quick - and back on the road we go.

Cool stops make us feel better. Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM, deep for divers and 61-degrees all year round.

Hunting for petroglyphs at Petroglyph National Monument outside Albuquerque.

Leaving family is sooo hard. I'm having withdrawals. But talking to Glory for 2 1/2 hours today has helped.

Glory.. Paul.. THANK YOU. We had the greatest time and so did the kids, can't wait for next year xoxoxo WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
