Happy Birthday Matty (pumpkin head)

Matty walked into a surprise party! It was quick and fun! I spent a lot of loving time on this cake, ginger carrot. Matty's two favorite things. He said he loved it. So my sore arm from trying to grate carrots as fast as I could was well worth it.

Everyone but the kids, they are right in front of us, in front of the TV watching Pee Wee's Playhouse. It was a crack up. We all forgot how amazing it is. Truly amazing! And sorry for those who never heard the word that we were having a party. It was last minute. We love you all!

The boys!

Oey was smart and climbed into his highchair and ate away while Mommy and Daddy chatted it up.

This looks about right. Paul, our true friend and partygoer that lasted the longest at the Beatty house. You win!

Happy Birthday Today Matt!! Can't wait to come pick you up and take you on your mystery date. It is going to be crazy fun. Hint on what to bring: empty tummy, swimsuit, running shoes, cowboy boots and your handsome self!! We are going to pack a ton in, in less than 24 hours!! Love you sugar xo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTIE!!! i can't believe you are fast approaching the big 3-0. it is a great year. i love 29...so fun...the last year of your twenties when you are finally truly feeling great about who you are and confident with every aspect of life, totally prepared to go meet everyone and everything with cheer and strength and love. aging is seriously great...deep down i know this despite my complaints about some gray hairs! it is so exciting to look back on the last ten years and see how much has happened...now think about the next decade. you guys are lucky, there are so many grand adventures to await you as the kids get older and more and more interested in everything around them. what a great father and role model and brother and friend you are matt, i love you and i hope you are having the happiest day ever. also, amy you are the sweetest most fun darling wife i could ever imagine...happy times tonight for the big day! wish i could be there to watch the kids for you two!
